Target Information
CD178 (Fas ligand, FasL)은 세포사멸(apoptosis)을 유도하는 TNF 계열의 막단백질로, Fas 수용체(FasR)와 결합하여 세포사멸 경로를 활성화합니다.
이 단백질은 활성화된 T 림프구 및 NK 세포에서 주로 발현되며, 고환, 눈 등 면역 특권 부위와 다양한 조직(흉선, 간, 난소, 폐, 심장, 신장)에서도 발견됩니다.
CD178은 막 결합형(45 kDa) 또는 가용성형(26 kDa)으로 존재할 수 있으며, 금속단백분해효소에 의해 절단되어 세포 외로 방출됩니다.
Fas/CD178 시스템은 AIDS, 간염, 암 등 다양한 질환의 병리 기전에 연관되어 있으며, 면역 반응 조절 및 세포 독성 T세포의 작용에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
