For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD63 (LAMP-3, lysosome-associated membrane protein-3) is a glycoprotein of the tetraspanin family found in late endosomes, lysosomes, and secretory vesicles. It also appears on the plasma membrane following cell activation and serves as a basophil activation marker.
CD63 interacts with integrins, influencing phagocytosis and cell migration, and regulates H/K-ATPase and ROMK1 channel trafficking. It functions as a T-cell costimulation molecule and is used for prognosis prediction in early-stage carcinomas.
CD63 is expressed on activated platelets, monocytes, macrophages, and weakly on granulocytes, B, and T cells. It is identical to the melanoma-associated antigen ME491 and platelet antigen PTLGP40.
Diseases associated with CD63 dysfunction include melanoma and Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome.
