Product Specific Information

Monoclonal antibody Cr24.1 reacts with human CD355 (CRTAM), also known as Class-I MHC-restricted T-cell-associated molecule. CD355 usually forms a homodimer but can heterodimerize with its ligand Necl-2. It is transiently expressed by activated NK, NKT, γδ T, and CD8+ T cells, and also by Purkinje neurons.
CD355 is involved in cancer immunosurveillance, γδ T cell survival, lymphocyte retention, NK cell cytotoxicity, and IFN-γ secretion from CD8+ T cells. Cr24.1 has antagonist activity.

This antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometry using stimulated normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage is 5 µL (1 µg) per test, defined as the amount required to stain a cell sample in 100 µL final volume. Cell numbers may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Light Sensitivity: This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation; protect from light.
Fixation: Samples may be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

The CRTAM gene is upregulated in CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ T cells and encodes a type I transmembrane protein with V and C1-like Ig domains.
