Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select optimal clones for production.
Advantages include:
- Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
L1CAM (CD171) is an axonal glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Its ectodomain contains multiple immunoglobulin-like and fibronectin type III domains, linked to a conserved cytoplasmic domain.
L1CAM plays a crucial role in nervous system development, including neuronal migration and differentiation.
Mutations in the L1CAM gene cause X-linked neurological syndromes collectively known as CRASH (corpus callosum hypoplasia, retardation, aphasia, spastic paraplegia, and hydrocephalus).
Alternative splicing of neuron-specific exons may also have functional relevance.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
