Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
TRPV3 belongs to a family of nonselective cation channels involved in processes such as temperature sensation and vasoregulation. Thermosensitive members of this family are expressed in subsets of sensory neurons terminating in the skin and are activated at distinct physiological temperatures. TRPV3 is activated between 22°C and 40°C. The TRPV3 gene lies near the TRPV1 gene on chromosome 17, and the two proteins may form heteromeric channels.
