Target Information
Serum response factor (SRF) is a transcription factor that binds the serum response element (SRE), mediating transient responses of cellular genes to growth stimulation. SRF regulates muscle gene expression by recruiting myogenic factors and is essential for vertebrate mesoderm formation and cardiovascular system development.
