- Regulates membrane expression and ubiquitination of SLC12A2 and ENaC subunits, influencing Na⁺ transport in epithelial cells.
- Promotes CFTR cell surface expression through regulation of ubiquitination.
- Down-regulates SOD1 activity by interfering with its homodimerization.
- Plays a role in copper ion homeostasis and ATP7A trafficking, interacting with the CCC and WASH complexes.
- Binds one copper ion per monomer and may facilitate biliary copper excretion.
