LAMP1은 LAMP-2와 함께 리소좀 막의 주요 구성요소로, 전체 단백질의 약 1–2%는 세포막에도 존재합니다. 이 단백질은 다당질화된 막 단백질로, 신호 펩타이드, 18개의 N-linked glycosylation 부위, 단일 막관통 영역, 11 아미노산의 세포질 꼬리를 포함합니다.
LAMP 단백질은 리소좀 생합성과 리소좀-포식소 융합에 관여합니다. 세포 활성화 시, LAMP1은 카르복실 말단의 타이로신 기반 모티프(YXXI)에 의해 세포막으로 이동합니다. 이 모티프의 거리 변화는 리소좀 위치를 방해하며, 변이 단백질은 세포막과 엔도좀 사이를 순환합니다.
세포 표면의 LAMP1 및 LAMP2는 인간 말초혈 단핵세포(PBMC)의 혈관 내피 부착을 촉진하여 염증 부위로의 이동에 관여할 수 있습니다. 알츠하이머병(AD)에서 LAMP1 면역반응성 증가가 관찰되며, 이는 신경세포와 교세포에서 발현됩니다. LAMP1은 비만세포 활성화의 좋은 지표로 알려져 있습니다.
