Target Information
The ECT2 protein is a transforming protein related to Rho-specific exchange factors and yeast cell cycle regulators. Its expression increases with the onset of DNA synthesis and remains high during G2 and M phases. In situ hybridization shows elevated expression in mitotic cells during liver regeneration, indicating a key role in cytokinesis regulation and cell cycle-dependent expression.
