Target Information
CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa) expressed on mature and most malignant B cells, as well as a subset of T lymphocytes and follicular dendritic cells.
It regulates calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation.
CD20 is associated with lipid rafts and interacts dynamically with the B-cell receptor (BCR) during activation.
Due to its stable surface expression, CD20 is a key target for antibody-mediated B-cell depletion in research on B-cell malignancies and immune disorders.
Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include MS4A1-related common variable immune deficiency.
