Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein expressed during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, and mitosis), but absent in resting cells (G0). Ki-67 redistributes from the nucleus to chromosomes during mitosis and serves as a key proliferation marker. The Ki-67 labeling index is widely used in tumor studies to estimate the proportion of proliferating cells and predict cancer outcomes.
The SolA15 antibody also cross-reacts with human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.

Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin-embedded tissues) and Immunocytochemistry.
Applications Tested:
Validated in ICC using fixed and permeabilized C2C12 cells at ≤1 µg/mL. Optimal dilution should be determined experimentally.
Filter Recommendation:
Use filters capturing 570 nm emission (e.g., Excitation 545/25, 565LP, Emission 605/70). Compatible with standard Alexa Fluor® 555 or TRITC filters.

Target Information
Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed throughout the active cell cycle phases (late G1, S, G2, M) and absent in G0. It associates with euchromatin and heterochromatin regions, showing cell cycle–dependent localization. Ki-67 serves as a reliable proliferation marker and correlates strongly with tumor grade and growth rate. Commonly used in oncology and neuroscience for assessing cell proliferation.
