This 201A monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD303a, also known as CLEC4C or Blood Dendritic Cell Antigen 2 (BDCA-2).
CD303a is a type II transmembrane protein expressed almost exclusively on plasmacytoid dendritic cells, which secrete type I interferon during antiviral and antitumor responses.
Studies show that CD303a binds asialo-galactosyl-oligosaccharides on pathogens, activating signaling pathways that lead to internalization and downregulation of interferon production.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood at 5 µL (0.125 µg)/test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be empirically determined (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
