Target Information
KLF10은 Sp1 C2H2-type zinc-finger 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 핵 단백질로, 세포 성장 조절에 관여하는 전사 억제 인자입니다.
이 단백질은 5'-GGTGTG-3' 서열에 결합하며, TGF-beta에 의해 유도되어 TGF-beta 신호 전달과 췌장 상피세포 성장 조절을 연결하는 역할을 합니다.
KLF10은 미토콘드리아 경로를 통한 세포사멸(apoptosis)을 유도하며, 기관지 상피세포에서 Smad7 발현을 억제할 수 있습니다.
대부분의 조직에서 보편적으로 발현되며, VHL 결핍 종양 및 기타 암에서 TGFBI 발현을 매개할 수 있습니다.
KLF10의 과발현은 신세포암(clear cell carcinoma) 및 기타 종양과 관련될 수 있습니다.
또한 KLF11은 SP1 유사 서열에 결합하여 세포 성장을 억제하고 세포사멸을 유도하는 zinc finger 전사인자로, 해당 유전자의 결함은 MODY7(성인발병형 당뇨병 7형)과 관련이 있습니다.
