Product Specific Information
MA5-17655 targets CD3e/TCRE in FACS, FN, IHC (F), IP, TCA, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Mouse samples.
The immunogen used is h-2Kb sp.
Target Information
The CD3 subunit complex is crucial for transducing antigen-recognition signals into the cytoplasm of T cells and regulating the surface expression of the TCR complex.
T cell activation via the TCR involves CD3 gamma, delta, epsilon, and zeta subunits, which are structurally related members of the immunoglobulin superfamily encoded on chromosome 11.
CD3 subunits contain cytoplasmic tails that associate with signaling molecules via a double tyrosine-based motif.
CD3 plays roles in TCR-induced growth arrest, cell survival, and proliferation. It is expressed on 68–82% of peripheral blood lymphocytes and 65–85% of thymocytes but not on B or NK cells.
Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
