Product Specific Information

  • Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
  • After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
  • For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
  • Rat anti-Mouse CD204 antibody, clone 2F8, recognizes murine scavenger receptor class A (SRA) type I and II (CD204).

Target Information

CD204 encodes class A macrophage scavenger receptors, including three isoforms (1, 2, 3) generated by alternative splicing. These macrophage-specific trimeric membrane glycoproteins are involved in physiological and pathological processes such as atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and host defense.

  • Isoforms 1 and 2: functional receptors mediating endocytosis of modified LDLs.
  • Isoform 3: non-functional in LDL uptake due to altered intracellular processing, retained in the endoplasmic reticulum, and exerts a dominant negative effect on other isoforms.
  • Associated diseases: Barrett Esophagus, Prostate Cancer.
