Product Specific Information

The DREG-56 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD62L, a 76 kDa member of the selectin family. CD62L is expressed by neutrophils, monocytes, and subsets of T, B, and NK cells and binds glycosylated, fucosylated, and sulfated sialylated glycoproteins such as CD34, glycam-1, and MAdCAM-1. These interactions mediate lymphocyte rolling on activated endothelium and homing to high endothelial venules of peripheral lymphoid tissues.

• Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry on normal human peripheral blood cells; use 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
• Fluorochrome: Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 737 (BUV737), emits at 732 nm; use with 355 nm UV laser.
• Light Sensitivity: Protect from light; sensitive to photo-induced oxidation.
• Fixation: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution for up to 3 days at 4°C in dark.
• Methanol Fixation: Compatible with short-term methanol-based fixation (<1 hour).
• Recommended Buffers: Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401) or Brilliant Stain Buffer (00-4409) when combining multiple polymer dyes.

Target Information

Human CD62L (L-Selectin) is a 74–95 kDa glycoprotein, a member of the selectin family of adhesion receptors. It includes a C-type lectin binding domain, an EGF-like domain, two short consensus repeats (SCR), a transmembrane region, and a cytoplasmic tail. CD62L is expressed on most leukocytes including lymphocytes, monocytes, and polymorphonuclear cells, except for a subset of memory T cells.
