Product Specific Information
The IM7 monoclonal antibody reacts with all isoforms of mouse CD44 (Pgp-1). CD44 is expressed by hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells; bone marrow myeloid cells and memory T cells highly express this antigen. Peripheral B and T cells can upregulate CD44 expression. CD44 functions as an adhesion molecule binding to hyaluronate.
Each product includes:
- 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
- 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer
Compatibility Note:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.
Blocking Buffer Usage:
Use 5 µL of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer per sample (100 µL cell sample, 10³–10⁸ cells). Add buffer to antibody cocktails before combining with cells for optimal staining.

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, engineered fluorescent signatures optimized for minimal spillover and spread.

CD44 is a 100 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on leukocytes, brain white matter, and epithelial cells. It acts as a receptor for hyaluronic acid, mediating cell adhesion, migration, and signaling.
CD44 expression is associated with lymphocyte activation and may be upregulated in certain carcinomas linked to metastasis.
Alternative splicing generates diverse CD44 isoforms with distinct functions.
Diseases associated with CD44 dysfunction include superficial keratitis and lichen sclerosus.
