Product Specific Information

  • Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Histone H3 is one of the DNA-binding proteins found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, H3 binds to DNA to form the nucleosome structure.
Histones play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability. Post-translational modifications of histones can alter chromatin structure or facilitate the binding of specific transcription factors.
The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influencing various cellular processes.
