Target Information
Isoprene 생합성 경로는 세포에 콜레스테롤, 유비퀴논 및 다양한 비스테롤 대사산물을 공급합니다. Farnesylpyrophosphate synthetase 효소는 isopentenylpyrophosphate와 dimethylallyl pyrophosphate로부터 geranyl 및 farnesylpyrophosphate의 형성을 촉매합니다.
Rat 간에서의 FDPS 활성과 단백질 분석, 면역형광 및 면역전자현미경 연구에 따르면 FDPS는 주로 퍼옥시좀(peroxisome)에 존재함이 확인되었습니다.
퍼옥시좀 결핍 질환인 Zellweger syndrome 및 neonatal adrenoleukodystrophy 환자의 간 조직에서는 FDPS 활성 및 isoprenoid 합성이 감소되어 있습니다.
