Target Information
Metallothionein (MT)는 미생물, 식물 및 모든 무척추동물과 척추동물에서 발견되는 황기- 및 시스테인 풍부 단백질입니다. Metallothioneins는 세포 성장, 복구 및 분화에 기능적 역할을 하는 저분자 단백질군으로, 카드뮴, 수은 및 구리 독성으로부터 세포를 보호하는 금속 이온 해독에 관여합니다.
Metallothionein 3 (MT-3, GIFB로도 알려짐)는 68개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질로, 정상 인간 뇌의 성상세포에서 높게 발현되지만 알츠하이머병 환자의 뇌에서는 발현이 감소합니다.
