  • Reconstitute with 1.0 mL distilled water.
  • Each vial contains sample for 100 tests per 1 mL.
  • Hamster anti-Mouse Delta-Like Protein 4 antibody, clone HMD4-2, recognizes mouse DLL4 — one of the five major ligands of the Notch signaling pathway. This pathway is activated through binding of specific ligands to Notch receptors (Notch1–4).

Target Information

Delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4), also known as Delta-4, is a transmembrane ligand for the Notch1 receptor. It is expressed in the vasculature and plays a critical role in vascular development. DLL4 is induced by VEGF and acts as a negative feedback regulator of angiogenic sprouting, promoting formation of a differentiated vascular network.
DLL4 is strongly expressed in tumor vessels of clear-cell renal and bladder cancers. Inhibition of DLL4 increases vascular proliferation but impairs maturation, resulting in decreased tumor growth without apparent toxicity.
