PHF10 유전자는 두 개의 zinc finger domain을 포함하는 단백질을 암호화하는 것으로 예측됩니다. 해당 단백질의 기능은 아직 알려지지 않았습니다. 서열 분석 결과, 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사체 변형이 존재하며, 그 중 두 가지 전체 길이 변형체만이 확인되었습니다. 이 두 변형체는 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화합니다. 이 유전자의 pseudogene은 Xq28에 위치합니다.
