Product Specific Information

The 359-81-11 antibody reacts with Tumor Necrosis Factor-beta (TNF-beta), a potent lymphoid factor that exerts cytotoxic effects on a wide range of tumor and target cells.
It has been tested for intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of TH1 polarized, restimulated normal human peripheral blood cells.
Recommended usage is ≤0.125 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may vary from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test and should be optimized for each assay.
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

TNF beta, a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes. It is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta, anchoring lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. TNF beta mediates inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses, contributes to secondary lymphoid organ formation, and plays a role in apoptosis. Genetic variations in this gene are linked to susceptibility to leprosy type 4 and psoriatic arthritis.
