Product Specific Information

The eBioH4B4 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD107b (LAMP-2), a highly glycosylated type I transmembrane protein (~105 kDa) expressed in lysosomal/endosomal membranes. It is found on degranulating T cells, activated platelets, and some cancer cells. Mutations in CD107b cause Danon disease, a lysosomal glycogen storage disorder.

Applications Reported:

  • Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis
  • Surface staining in flow-based degranulation assays

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested for intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of Jurkat cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (final volume 100 µL; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information

LAMP2 (CD107b) is a lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein involved in lysosome biogenesis, fusion with phagosomes, and chaperone-mediated autophagy. It is a major constituent of lysosomal membranes, functioning in protection, maintenance, and adhesion. The mature form (~100–130 kDa) is extensively glycosylated. LAMP2 deficiency causes accumulation of autophagosomes, leading to cardiomyopathy and myopathy (Danon’s disease).
