For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Human lipodystrophy is characterized by loss of body fat, fatty liver, hypertriglyceridemia, and insulin resistance. Mutations in the mouse fatty liver dystrophy gene produce similar phenotypes. The Lpin1 gene was identified as responsible for fatty liver dystrophy, encoding the nuclear protein lipin.
Lipin is highly expressed in adipose tissue and induced during preadipocyte differentiation, indicating its role in normal adipose tissue development and as a candidate gene for human lipodystrophy.
Human LPIN1 maps to chromosome 2p25, LPIN2 to 18p11, and LPIN3 to 20q11–q12. Mouse homologs Lpin1, Lpin2, and Lpin3 map to chromosomes 12, 17, and 2, respectively.
