Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human FGF acidic, FGF basic, FGF-4, FGF-5, FGF-6, FGF-7, and FGF-9 is observed.
- Cross-reacts with recombinant mouse FGF-8c in neutralizing bioassay.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level <0.10 EU per 1 µg antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
FGF8 plays a critical role in embryonic development, regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration. It is essential for brain, eye, ear, and limb development, as well as for the normal formation of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) neuronal system. It also contributes to neurite outgrowth in hippocampal cells.
