This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
TIM3 (Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2, HAVCR2, T-cell immunoglobulin, mucin-domain containing-3) is a 281 amino acid, Type-I Th1-specific cell surface glycoprotein expressed on terminally differentiated CD4⁺Th1 and CD8⁺Tc1 cells.
TIM3 contains an IgV-like domain, a mucin-like domain in the extracellular region, and a conserved tyrosine phosphorylation motif in the cytoplasmic region. It is involved in macrophage activation and induction of autoimmune diseases.
TIM3 down-regulates aggressive Th1-mediated immune responses and contributes to immune tolerance development. Pathological significance includes roles in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a Th1-dependent autoimmune disease, where TIM3 enhances disease severity in mice.
