Product Description

Norovirus (NoV) is a single-stranded, non-enveloped RNA virus belonging to the Caliciviridae family. It is a major causative agent of non-bacterial gastroenteritis worldwide, transmitted primarily via contaminated food, water, or human contact. Most human-infecting Noroviruses belong to genogroups I and II (especially genotype 4). Norovirus is highly stable in the environment and resistant to alcohols and detergents, making in vitro culture and standard microbiological identification difficult.
