Target Information
TRPM8는 비선택적 양이온 채널로, 25°C 이하의 저온에서 활성화되어 냉감 감지에 관여합니다. 이 채널은 icilin, eucalyptol, menthol, 그리고 세포 내 pH 조절에 의해 활성화되며, 나트륨, 칼륨, 세슘 등의 단가 양이온과 칼슘 이온에 투과성을 가집니다. 정상 인체 조직 중 주로 전립선 상피세포에서 발현되며, 전립선암에서 발현이 증가하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 유방, 결장, 폐, 피부 등의 비전립선성 종양에서도 TRPM8 mRNA 발현이 관찰됩니다.
