Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
E-Cadherin (epithelial cadherin) is a classical cadherin belonging to the calcium-dependent adhesion protein superfamily. It is a cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein consisting of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region, and a conserved cytoplasmic tail.
Mutations in the CDH1 gene are associated with gastric, breast, colorectal, thyroid, and ovarian cancers. Loss of E-cadherin function is linked to increased tumor proliferation, invasion, and metastasis.
E-cadherin plays a crucial role in maintaining tissue architecture and integrity, and is encoded by the CDH1 gene on chromosome 16.
