PEP-0473 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20353.

Target Information

BRSK1 (SAD1) is a serine/threonine kinase and a UV-induced DNA damage checkpoint kinase.
It is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels in the brain and testes.
Similar to its yeast homolog, BRSK1 is involved in stress-induced cell cycle arrest.
Overexpression leads to G2/M arrest in HeLa S2 cells, and UV-induced G2/M arrest can be partially abrogated by reduced BRSK1 expression via siRNA, indicating its role in DNA damage checkpoint function.
Both BRSK1 and BRSK2 are required for mammalian neuronal polarization.
Double-mutant mice lacking both genes die within two hours of birth, and their neurons show uniformly sized neurites with both axonal and dendritic markers.
At least two isoforms of BRSK1 are known to exist.
