This antibody is predicted to react with equine, non-human primate, and rabbit based on sequence homology.

Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies to provide the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency of recombinant production.

Functionally similar to polyclonal antibodies, they recognize multiple epitope sites on the target and offer higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot contains a known mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and avoiding the biological variability of traditional polyclonal production.

Target Information

BAFF is a membrane-bound cytokine expressed by B cell lineage cells. The soluble form binds to receptors TNFRSF13B/TACI, TNFRSF17/BCMA, and TNFRSF13C/BAFFR. It acts as a potent B cell activator, promoting proliferation and differentiation. BAFF is also expressed by T lymphocytes and contributes to T cell activation and survival. Isoforms representing alternatively spliced and glycosylated variants have been identified.
