Product Specific Information

The HIS40 monoclonal antibody reacts with the µ heavy chain of rat IgM. It does not react with other classes of rat immunoglobulin including IgD, IgG, or IgA.
IgM is expressed intracellularly during early stages of B lymphopoiesis and on the surface of mature B cells in bone marrow and peripheral B cells.
Fluorochrome-conjugated HIS40 is used as a detection secondary antibody for rat IgM primary antibodies.

• Flow cytometric analysis
• Immunohistochemical staining

Applications Tested:
The HIS40 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of rat splenocytes and can be used at ≤0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume).
Cell numbers may vary (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test) and should be empirically determined.
It is recommended to titrate the antibody for optimal performance.
