Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Pig (100%); Rat, Bovine, Dog, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Horse, Rabbit, Guinea pig (95%); Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Bat (89%).

For IHC(P), use heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

The receptors belonging to this family are characterized by interactions with G proteins and 7 hydrophobic transmembrane regions. This gene encodes the receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide substance K, also referred to as neurokinin A.
