Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Slug (SNAI2) is a member of the Snail family of C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factors, involved in epithelial-mesenchymal transitions and neural tube formation during vertebrate embryogenesis.
It can be induced by growth factors such as FGF, BMP, and TGF-beta. Slug binds E-box regions of promoters and represses transcription of genes such as E-cadherin and Claudin-1.
Its expression in several carcinomas (breast, esophageal, colorectal) correlates with poor prognosis. Slug also protects hemopoietic progenitor cells from radiation-induced apoptosis by repressing p53-mediated transcription of Puma.
