Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Slug (SNAI2) is a member of the Snail family of C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factors involved in epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and neural tube formation during embryogenesis.
Slug transcription can be induced by growth factors such as FGF, BMP, and TGF-beta, and represses transcription of genes including E-cadherin and Claudin-1.
Its expression in breast, esophageal, and colorectal carcinomas is correlated with poor survival prognosis.
Slug also protects hematopoietic progenitor cells from radiation-induced apoptosis by repressing p53-mediated transcription of Puma.
