Target Information
5-HT7 Receptor is a serotonin receptor involved in regulation of circadian rhythm and smooth muscle relaxation in vasculature and GI tract. It is implicated in depression, autism, and other neuropsychiatric disorders.
Three isoforms have been documented:
- Isoform a: 445 aa
- Isoform b: 432 aa
- Isoform d: 479 aa
Detected in aorta, brain, heart, placenta, small intestine, spleen, artery, and vessel. An EST has been isolated from a testis library.
