Target Information

PGAM1은 포스포글리세르산뮤타아제(Phosphoglycerate mutase) 계열에 속하며, 포도당 및 2,3-BPGA(2,3-bisphosphoglycerate) 대사에 중요한 역할을 하는 효소입니다. 해당 효소는 해당과정(glycolytic pathway)에서 3-phosphoglycerate (3-PGA)를 2-phosphoglycerate (2-PGA)로 가역적으로 변환합니다.
PGAM1 단백질은 이합체(dimeric) 효소로, 조직에 따라 느리게 이동하는 근육형(MM) 이소자임, 빠르게 이동하는 뇌형(BB) 이소자임, 그리고 혼합형(MB)을 포함합니다.
PGAM1 유전자 돌연변이는 근육 포스포글리세르산뮤타아제 결핍증, 즉 glycogen storage disease X를 유발할 수 있습니다.
재조합 인간 PGAM 단백질은 N-말단에 His-tag가 융합된 형태로 E. coli에서 발현되었으며, 전통적인 크로마토그래피를 통해 정제되었습니다.
