Product Specific Information
- Tested in direct ELISA (for coating use antibody at 1–5 µg/mL).
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

ATG5 (Autophagy Related 5)는 자가포식(autophagy)에 필수적인 요소로, 세포사멸(apoptosis) 과정에도 중요한 역할을 합니다.
이 단백질은 산화적 손상 후 미토콘드리아 품질 관리, 선천적 항바이러스 면역 반응의 음성 조절, 림프구 발달 및 증식, MHC II 항원 제시, 지방세포 분화 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다.
ATG12와의 결합 후, ATG5-ATG12 복합체는 오토파고좀 형성에 참여하며, FADD(Fas-associated protein with death domain)와 상호작용하여 자가포식성 세포사멸을 유도합니다.
또한, RIG-I 및 VISA(IPS-1) 같은 선천면역 단백질과 결합하여 I형 인터페론 생성을 억제하고 바이러스 복제를 허용할 수 있습니다.
ATG5 기능 이상은 소뇌실조증(spinocerebellar ataxia)과 관련이 있습니다.
