Mouse anti-Bovine Serum Albumin antibody, clone BGN/D1 recognizes bovine albumin, a major protein constituent of bovine serum.
Target Information
Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein which comprises about one-half of the blood serum protein. It functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones and helps stabilize extracellular fluid volume.
Albumin is a globular, unglycosylated serum protein with a molecular weight of approximately 65,000. It is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin, which undergoes sequential cleavage in the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus to produce mature secreted albumin.
