The MHR73-11 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD180 (RP105), a 105 kDa type I transmembrane molecule belonging to the TLR family. RP105 associates with MD-1 and is expressed on B cells, monocytes/macrophages, and dendritic cells. It plays a role in B cell activation, costimulatory molecule expression (CD80), and protection from apoptosis. RP105 loss correlates with B cell activation and disease activity in SLE patients.

Target Information

CD180 (RP105, Bgp95, LY64) is a type I membrane glycoprotein in the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family. It lacks the TIR domain and requires MD-1 for expression. CD180 regulates LPS recognition and signaling through interaction with the TLR4 complex, leading to B cell activation and upregulation of CD80/CD86. It consists of extracellular leucine-rich repeats (LRR) and a short cytoplasmic tail. CD180 dysfunction is associated with Kawasaki Disease and rheumatic disease pathology.
