Target Information
The Golgi complex plays a key role in the sorting and modification of proteins exported from the endoplasmic reticulum. The GOLPH2 protein is a type II Golgi transmembrane protein involved in processing proteins synthesized in the rough endoplasmic reticulum and facilitating their transport through the Golgi apparatus. Expression of this protein is observed to be upregulated in response to viral infection.
