Product Specific Information

• Description: Monoclonal rat IgG2a is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested on normal human peripheral blood cells and mouse splenocytes. Use at same concentration as experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome Details: Super Bright 645 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 645 nm. Recommended bandpass filter: 660/20.
• Usage Note: When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.
• Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and samples from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
• Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
• Excitation / Emission / Laser: 405 nm / 645 nm / Violet Laser.

Target Information

Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass produced by the rat immune system. It activates complement and mediates antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC).
Molecular weight is approximately 160 kDa, composed of two heavy and two light chains.
Commonly used as a control or reference antibody in rat model experiments, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry.
