Product Specific Information
MA1-40074 detects CD31 from mouse samples.
It reacts with an antigen present on cell subpopulations of adult mouse bone marrow, including pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells.
MA1-40074 binds to colony forming unit macrophage (CFU-M) precursor cells, pre CFU-M, monoblasts, and granulocyte precursor cells.
This antibody has been successfully used in ELISA, immunohistochemistry (paraffin and frozen), immunoprecipitation, and flow cytometry applications.
Recommended starting dilution: 1:50.

Suggested positive control: Macrophage cell line RMB-1
Target Information
CD31 (platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1, PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor involved in regulating T and B cell signaling via immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs).
It is expressed throughout the vascular compartment, mainly at junctions between adjacent cells.
The N-terminal Ig-like domain enables homophilic binding, facilitating cell-cell interactions.
CD31 plays roles in integrin-mediated adhesion, transendothelial migration, angiogenesis, apoptosis, immune regulation, macrophage phagocytosis, IgE-mediated anaphylaxis, and thrombosis.
It is a key molecule in vascular system regulation.
