Target Information
Human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)는 Paramyxoviridae 계열 Pneumovirinae 아과에 속하며, 홍역과 유행성이하선염과 같은 호흡기 감염을 일으키는 바이러스입니다. RSV의 게놈은 단일가닥 음성 RNA로 구성되어 있으며, 세 가지 외피 당단백질(SH, G, F)을 암호화합니다. 이 중 63 kDa 크기의 RSV Fusion 단백질(F)은 바이러스와 세포막의 융합을 유도하여 감염을 일으키며, 감염된 세포 간 융합을 통해 다핵 거대세포(syncytia)를 형성합니다. RSV는 성인에게는 경미한 증상을 유발하지만, 영유아의 하기도 감염 및 입원 원인 중 하나로 알려져 있습니다.
