Target Information

HACE1 is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase involved in Golgi membrane fusion and regulation of small GTPases.
It regulates Golgi membrane dynamics during the cell cycle, mediating ubiquitination during mitotic Golgi disassembly and reassembly.
Specifically interacts with GTP-bound RAC1, promoting ubiquitination and degradation of active RAC1, contributing to host defense.
May also function as a transcription regulator via interaction with RARB.
