Reconstitute antibody with 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW).
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

The CNGA1 protein is involved in phototransduction. Together with another protein, it forms a cGMP-gated cation channel in the plasma membrane, enabling depolarization of rod photoreceptors — the final step in the phototransduction pathway.
Defects in CNGA1 are associated with autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa (ARRP).
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
