Target Information
MMP3 (stromelysin-1)은 peptidase M10A subfamily에 속하며, pro-protein 형태로 분비되어 extracellular proteinase에 의해 활성화됩니다.
활성화된 MMP3는 zinc 및 calcium 이온에 결합하며 metallo-endopeptidase 활성을 가집니다.
이 효소는 collagen, gelatin, fibronectin, laminin 등을 분해하며, 상처 치유 및 조직 재형성과 같은 정상 세포 과정에 관여합니다.
MMP3 유전자의 돌연변이는 관상동맥 심장 질환 6과 관련이 있습니다.
