Product Specific Information
This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using epitope-specific immunogen by affinity chromatography. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
STOML2 is a mitochondrial protein that regulates mitochondrial biogenesis and activity. It stimulates cardiolipin biosynthesis and binds cardiolipin-enriched membranes, recruiting and stabilizing proteins such as prohibitin. This contributes to the organization of functional microdomains in mitochondrial membranes. STOML2 plays roles in various biological processes, including:
- Cell migration and proliferation
- T-cell activation
- Calcium homeostasis
- Cellular stress response
It is required for mitochondrial hyperfusion, a pro-survival response increasing ATP production. STOML2 may also influence plasma membrane organization and T-cell receptor signaling.
