Target Information

Receptor for IL17A and IL17F, major effector cytokines of innate and adaptive immune system involved in antimicrobial host defense and maintenance of tissue integrity.
Acts as a receptor for IL17A and IL17F homodimers as part of a heterodimeric complex with IL17RA. Also binds IL17A–IL17F heterodimer and IL17F homodimer, triggering TRAF6 and NF-κB signaling pathways.
Induces transcriptional activation of IL33, promoting sympathetic innervation and immune responses.
Binding of IL17A–IL17F to IL17RA–IL17RC complex activates TRAF6-mediated NF-κB and MAPK pathways, leading to cytokine and chemokine expression and antimicrobial peptide production.
Primarily induces neutrophil activation and recruitment at infection and inflammation sites, and stimulates mucosal epithelial cells to produce antimicrobial β-defensins.
